Who We Are

African World Broadcasting Corporation (AWBC) TV is an independent, nonprofit African TV broadcaster established by African Americans and overseas Africans. AWBC will begin to broadcast via satellite in Africa, France and North and South America beginning in the fall 2009. Operating 24/7 programming. AWBC reporters and correspondents will be in cities worldwide.

AWBC is composed of committed individuals with extensive experience in television programming, other Medias, and a wealth of qualified contributors who have in-depth understanding of both African, Western and Eastern cultures. Deriving from a variety of professions and experts; their dedication is to an uncompromising line of communication that empowers our viewership with enough knowledge to edify and unite Africans throughout the diaspora.

We must adhere to the recipe that the founding fathers and mothers of Black Medias left for future generations; which is to understand the necessity for Africans to have their own International lines of communication, that can't be compromised by money, or intimidated by a status quo system. In applying this recipe we must also realize that a Television Station isn't a business; It’s a public trust, a rare and unique gift that is not to be violated by selfish motives to gain prestige or power.

West African Broadcasting Incorporation (WABI) is dedicated to enriching communities and improving the lives of Africans around the world. Our network of correspondents in Africa, Middle East, Europe, North and South America enables us to connect viewers with localized news and programs that enhance our broadcasts with the best of quality. Our unique format of breaking news, engaging forums, call-in programs, and entertaining TV dramas appeal to people of all cultures WABTV is topical and timely, and genuinely represents the best of Afro-Centric Television.
